As Small-cap companies continually strive to achieve growth and in a period of economic uncertainty it is important to reflect on the successes and acknowledge how far a company has progressed.
Last week, NEX Exchange had the honour of being headline sponsor at the 6th Annual Small Cap Awards in London, a once-a-year opportunity to recognise outstanding achievement focused on smaller quoted companies. With over 200 guests attending including company CEO’s, Advisers, Intermediaries and Fund Managers the awards shine a light on the best enterprises and participants in the small and micro-cap community (sub £100m market capitalisation) across twelve categories.
As a Stock Exchange, we pride ourselves on the successes of our quoted Issuers and it was fantastic to witness so many nominated for awards throughout the evening. We were delighted to see Crossword Cybersecurity, a technology commercialisation company focusing exclusively on the cyber security sector, win the NEX Exchange Company of the Year award. Tom Ilube, CEO at Crossword Cybersecurity, provides further insight into his business and the benefits of listing on NEX Exchange in the article below. Other NEX Exchange companies nominated for the award included Chapel Down Group, Daniel Thwaites, Field Systems Designs Holdings, KR1, National Milk Records, Sandal and Walls & Futures.
In addition, we were thrilled to see Walls & Futures win a special award to recognise Impact Company of the Year, sponsored by the Impact Investor Network. Walls & Futures is an Ethical Housing REIT providing new homes for some of the most vulnerable people in society, including those with learning and physical disabilities, mental health needs, homelessness and extra care (housing with care for the elderly).
