Patrick Birley: Chief Executive Officer

Patrick Birley brings to NEX Exchange over 25 years’ worth of industry experience. During these 25 years, Patrick has held senior positions at a number of exchanges and financial institutions, including NYSE Euronext, the London Stock Exchange, LCH.Clearnet and the South African Futures Exchange (Safex).

Patrick’s vision for NEX Exchange is to create an exchange where companies can join a public market easily, cost-effectively, efficiently and, most importantly, with pride.


David Battle: Managing Director, Markets

David Battle is responsible for business and market development as well as customer delivery. David has specialised in sales and customer relationship management in financial markets for over 25 years. Most recently as SVP for Singapore Exchange, he was previously Managing Director Deutsche Bank Group (Global Finance) and prior to that board director and MD, sales and customer relations, for listed company Rolfe & Nolan Computer Services Plc. 

Max Raynor: Sales

Max Raynor is part of the Sales team responsible for sourcing prospective issuers and being a key point of contact throughout the on boarding process.  Max Joined as a graduate from Reading University having studied Finance and Investment Banking, in addition to completing an equity research internship in Hong Kong.

Matt Dangell - Sales


Matt is part of the Sales and Business Development team responsible for sourcing prospective issuers and being a key point of contact throughout the on boarding process.  Matt joined as a graduate from University of Kent having studied Financial Mathematics, in addition to completing a year in industry at IBM and an internship at State Street.



Gurk Sahota Head of Corporate Development

Gurk Sahota: Head of Corporate Development

Gurk Sahota is responsible for assisting with early stage application enquiries, and acting as a first-port-of-call for Corporate Advisers and prospective Issuers.  She also builds relationships within the fundraising community to help improve access to investment for issuers.  Gurk started her career working on SME listings in Germany, returning to London to work at a European SME exchange. 

Mark Fisher Director, Customer Relations

Mark Fisher: Director, Customer Relations


Mark Fisher is responsible for customer relations within the business and market development team. Mark will primarily be involved with the broking and market making community. Mark has specialised in sales, customer relationship management and operations in financial markets for over 25 years notably Barclays Capital and Deutsche Bank, most recently the Singapore Exchange.
