Navigating the public disclosure regime as an SME

The Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) is hosting this event to introduce companies to the work of the Primary Market Oversight department.

The emphasis of the day will be on assisting you to navigate the regulatory landscape as a small to medium sized issuer (SME), particularly with regard to the application of the Market Abuse Regulation (MAR).

Topics will include:-

  • corporate disclosure of inside information
  • relevant policy pipelines
  • common activities that increase the risk of unlawful disclosure of inside information
  • corporate transactions
  • insights from the FRC’s Financial Reporting Lab

There will also be a panel Q&A session with relevant FCA staff. 

There is an opportunity to pre-submit your specific disclosure questions for the panel during the registration process.

Who should attend?

This event is intended for SMEs seeking to increase their knowledge of the UK public disclosure regime.

The presentations will be suitable for:-

  • Executive functions (CEO, CFO, Head of Compliance)
  • Company Secretaries
  • In-house Legal Counsel
  • Investor Relations Officers
