Adnams appoints Jenny Hanlon as Chief Financial Officer

Jenny Hanlon joins Adnams plc as its new Chief Financial Officer after the planned retirement of Stephen Pugh who joined Adnams in 2003.
Proven Chief Financial Officer Jenny has extensive experience across multiple sectors and having spent time with Barclays, Greene King, Willis plc, iprism and GRP Group. Jenny is also a non-executive Trustee at BEST, a multi-academy trust in the East of England.
Jenny commented: "I am extremely excited to join Adnams as I will get the opportunity to work alongside all those who have built this business to what it is today. Employing more than 550 people, Adnams was founded in 1872 and brews and distils more than 30 different beers and 20 spirits from grain-to-glass at its forever home in Southwold, Suffolk. Adnams also is a top 50 independent wine merchant with over 300 wines from 17 countries and has more than 55 properties including pubs, inns, hotels and shops throughout East Anglia and exports to more than 24 countries.

Jenny will join the business on the 15(th) June.
Established in 1872 at The Sole Bay Brewery in Southwold, Suffolk, Adnams has evolved into an innovative company with a portfolio of over 40 pubs, inns and hotels, including the flagship Swan Southwold and 13 retail stores. From its Southwold home, Adnams produces award-winning spirits* (20 different) and beer (30 different) from locally grown grains and sources and is a top 50 independent wine merchant with 300 wines from around the world.
Now exporting to more than 24 countries, Adnams retains the values of an independent, family run business with a strong commitment to, and leadership in, sustainable business practice. 1% of the company's profits go to The Adnams Community Trust which supports charities and good causes within 25 miles of Southwold. In addition, Adnams supports 350 causes each year and has won three Queen's Awards for Enterprise in Sustainable Development, the more recent in 2020.
Turnover for 2019 was GBP74.7m.
